Austin Butler and Kaia Gerber are said to have broken up after three years of being together. Sources indicate the couple parted ways amicably towards the end of 2024, citing no bitterness or animosity. TMZ reported that the split was mutual, with insiders explaining that the relationship had simply “run its course.” Significantly, Butler, 33, was absent from the Gerber family’s recent vacation in Mexico, fuelling speculation about their breakup.
They reportedly started dating in December 2021 after being photographed together for the first time at a Los Angeles yoga session. Their romance was noticed when they were seen attending multiple high-profile events, among them the red carpet appearance at W Magazine’s Best Performances event in March 2022 as well as the Met Gala the same year. Gerber, 23, had been by Butler’s side for the entirety of his award season of success over Elvis that saw him collect numerous accolades coupled with widespread acclaim.
As far back as this year, it seemed the pair was going very well.
