Armie Hammer’s 2017 Comment On Blake Lively Resurfaces Amid Legal Drama

A resurfaced 2017 clip featuring Armie Hammer has sparked new debates about Blake Lively’s alleged on-set behaviour amid her escalating legal conflict with It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni.

In Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Hammer has a moment where he hesitates to name who he thinks was the “biggest diva” on Gossip Girl. Hammer came on the show for a few episodes in 2009; he described working on Gossip Girl as “tough” and said that he didn’t finish all the episodes he planned to do. When asked about his on-screen love interest, he hesitantly named Lively, prompting comedian Chelsea Handler to quip, “Sounds like she was the problem,” a sentiment Cohen echoed. Though Armie Hammer denied directly pointing fingers, his awkward demeanour sparked speculation.

TAKE A LOOK AT THE VIRAL POST:

The clip has gone viral as Lively faces accusations from Justin Baldoni of creating a hostile work environment during the filming of It Ends With Us. California’s Civil Rights Department received a complaint filed by Lively for inappropriate on-set behaviour, among which is being subjected to unwarranted scenes of kissing in the improvisations. In retaliation, Baldoni filed a $250 million libel lawsuit against The New York Times, accusing the publication of publishing unfounded allegations that he hired a crisis PR firm to discredit Lively.

Baldoni’s legal team has further accused Lively of bullying and attempting to take control of the project, claiming her team orchestrated a “smear campaign” through manipulated evidence. Lively’s lawyers have dismissed these claims, maintaining her accusations are backed by “concrete facts” and condemning Baldoni’s actions as retaliatory. They insist the forthcoming litigation will prove Lively’s actions were solely in pursuit of creating a safe environment for herself and others on set.
