MP Deepender Hooda has said history is witness to the fact that change has always started from the land of Haryana and the days of those lying to seek votes are over. Deepender, who reached the Jan Aakrosh Rally of Congress organized under the ‘Ghar-Ghar Congress, Har Ghar Congress’ campaign in Khedichopta amidst severe cold and heavy rain, greeted the huge crowd present, including thousands of women. He said Haryana is the land of brave people.

The lone Opposition MP from Haryana said the days of those who lie and seek votes from the public are over. “In the upcoming elections, the public will hold accountable those who made false promises, and will pay them back with interest. This fight is to save the future of the youth, farmers, workers, poor and deprived sections of Haryana. The entire country will keep an eye on the Haryana elections,” he told a huge crowd that had gathered in Khedichopta, amidst the harsh cold and heavy rain,

Attacking JJP, Deepender said in 2019, the government was formed in Haryana by betraying the people. “People did not elect the BJP-JJP government, rather they rejected it. The public had defeated both the BJP government and the party. 12 out of 14 BJP ministers, even the state president of the party, were defeated and sent back home,” he said.

“JJP cheated its voters and supported BJP in the name of old age pension of Rs 5100, which has not come till date. In fact, the agreement between BJP and JJP was not for old age pension of Rs 5100 at all, but for free hand for corruption and loot. After the formation of the government, scams were committed one after the other in the state. More than 30 recruitment scams including liquor scam, mining scam, registry scam were carried out,” he added.

“Bribes worth crores of Rupees were caught in HPSC, SHSC offices. Youth from other states are getting jobs, instead of youth from Haryana. Putting aside all morality, JJP betrayed its voters, farmers, women players and every section of the society. JJP, which has betrayed its voters in this election, will not be able to save its deposit in even one seat,” he noted.

Deepender, moved by the huge crowd gathered at the public meeting, said that today people in Haryana are looking towards Congress with hope. “This government made Haryana not only number 1 in unemployment, corruption and inflation, but also in insulting people. The BJP government has worked to humiliate every section. Farmers, MNREGA labourers, players, watchmen, employees, sarpanch, women, Asha workers, elderly and even children had to come to the streets against this government,” he stated.

He said Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan was the identity of Haryana, but this government neither left the soldiers nor the farmers. “By bringing Agniveer Yojana, the dream of soldiers of joining the Army was broken. Earlier, every year there was recruitment of 5,5000, now only 900 are being recruited, out of which 700 Agniveer will return after 4 years. Similarly, in the farmers’ movement that lasted for a year, 750 farmers had to sacrifice their lives. The farmers were called traitors, terrorists and many other derogatory taunts,” he pointed out.

Reiterating his resolve, Deepender said when the Congress government comes, the old age pension of Rs 6000 will be given to the elderly, which would be the highest in the country. He said the government would also restore the old pension scheme to the employees, provide free plots of 100 yards to the poor families, and 2 rooms at a cost of Rs 3.5 lakh. “We will guarantee MSP to farmers, will give a government job to the families of farmers martyred in the farmers’ movement, 300 units of free electricity to every family, restore the Padak Lao, Pad Pao scheme, provide domestic gas cylinder at Rs 500 to every housewife.

We will provide time bound appointment to the youth on 2 lakh government posts, we will connect every village and city with the development, like the previous Hooda government,” he said.

This program was organized by Jassi Petwad at the conclusion of Narnaund Sankalp Pad Yatra. Prominent on this occasion were former Union Minister Jaiprakash, former Minister Subhash Goyal, former MLA Ramniwas Ghorela, former MLA Rambhagat Sharma, former MLA Naresh Selwal, retired IAS Chandraprakash and Prof Virender Singh.
