Flights will start from Hisar Airport in Haryana from the first week of April. For this, the state government has signed an agreement with Alliance Air Company. For this, Haryana Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala is staying in Hyderabad for 2 days. After the agreement with Alliance Air, Dushyant is also meeting more companies.
Delhi, Jaipur, Kullu, Ahmedabad, Jammu, Dharamshala has been finalized. It is expected that air services will start on these routes from the first week of April. This air connectivity in the state will be on the concept of State Viable Gap Funding (SVGF), so that passengers do not have to pay much fare.
Deputy CM said that at present the idea is to run 70 seater airplanes on the finalized route. Once flights start, these routes will be reviewed 90 days later. According to the demand of passengers, flights will be operated from Hisar to other cities including Lucknow, Varanasi, Ambala. Deputy CM said that after air connectivity with Hisar, defense and other industries will increase there, which will become a huge source of revenue in the state.
Let us tell you that a lot of work has been done on Hisar Airport which is being built on 7200 acres of land. Currently, construction of Air Traffic Control (ATC), fuel compartment, isolation bay, monsoon drain for storm water drainage, apron and basic strip is underway, which is expected to be completed by early March 2024.
The number of passengers is being increased in the existing terminal. There will be a new terminal for 200 passengers. This too will be completed by March. Apart from this, the construction of ATC will be completed by February.
