Hezbollah’s deputy chief, Naim Qassem, announced that the group will swiftly appoint a successor to its slain leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, following his death in an Israeli airstrike last Friday. Speaking in his first public address since the attack, Qassem assured supporters that Hezbollah remains committed to its fight against Israel. He stated that Hezbollah would fill its leadership positions soon and continue its military operations, including launching rockets deep into Israeli territory.

Qassem emphasized that Hezbollah’s capabilities remain strong despite Israeli attacks, dismissing claims about the destruction of the group’s missile arsenal. He also blamed the United States for offering “limitless” support to Israel and predicted a long conflict ahead, but expressed confidence that Hezbollah would emerge victorious, as it did in the 2006 war with Israel.

Hezbollah’s fighters, Qassem added, are ready for any potential Israeli ground offensive, calling for patience from their supporters during this transitional period.
