On Wednesday, an Air Dynasty helicopter crashed in Nepal’s Nuwakot District, resulting in the deaths of five people, including four Chinese nationals. Among the victims were two men, one woman, and the pilot, Arun Malla. One body was severely charred and remains unidentified.

The helicopter, identified as 9N-AJD, was en route from Kathmandu to Rasuwa when it went down in Ward No. 7 of Shivapuri Rural Municipality, Nuwakot, as reported by Myrepublica newspaper. Police have successfully recovered all five bodies from the crash site.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), the helicopter took off from Tribhuvan International Airport at 1:54 PM but lost contact with the tower just three minutes later. In response, a Prabhu helicopter (9N-ANL) was dispatched to the crash location.

This tragic event follows a previous incident on July 24, when a Saurya Airlines plane crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport, killing 18 people on board, with only the captain surviving. These recent crashes have heightened concerns about air safety in Nepal, a country that has experienced numerous air accidents in recent years.
