Haryana’s tableau, themed “Mera Parivar-Meri Pehchaan” (My Family-My Identity), will be displayed during the Republic Day parade on January 26th on Rajpath. The selection for the display on Rajpath, for the third consecutive year, was made by a specialized committee of the Ministry of Defence. Haryana has been leading in online services across the country.
Mandip Singh Barad, Director-General of Information, Public Relations & Languages Department, Haryana, discussed the program with media personnel, highlighting that the “Mera Parivar-Meri Pehchaan” initiative aims to bring government services and facilities to the doorsteps of the public. He emphasized Chief Minister Manohar Lal’s innovative approach in implementing unique schemes that have set Haryana on the path of development.
Barad stated that Haryana has become a role model for other states and even the central government by adopting several unique initiatives. The tableau aligns with the central government’s theme of “Developed India,” showcasing a harmonious blend of heritage and development.
The selection process for state tableaux on Rajpath begins in November each year, with states, union territories, and ministries submitting their themes based on the guidelines provided by the expert committee. The chosen themes are then displayed during the Republic Day parade.
Barad expressed joy over Haryana’s consistent participation in the Republic Day parade, having previously showcased the “International Gita Mahotsav” theme and the “Number One in Sports Haryana” theme. He explained that Haryana, though geographically small, has remained at the forefront in industries, agriculture, and various businesses.
The Director-General highlighted Chief Minister Manohar Lal’s visionary leadership, which has enabled Haryana to lay the foundation for development. This year’s tableau reflects the pride of New India, progressing under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s excellent guidance.
Barad detailed the tableau’s portrayal of Haryana’s success stories, including the metro system, a unique model of urban development, industrialization, and the recognition as an IT hub. He mentioned that the tableau exhibits Haryana’s commitment to developing modern infrastructure, showcasing its progress to the nation.
He further elaborated on the tableau’s representation of Haryana’s cultural and historical richness, with ancient artifacts from the Rakhigarhi archaeological site in Hisar. The tableau also features a depiction of New India, aligning with the spirit of Republic Day.
Barad shared that the tableau not only showcases Haryana’s achievements but also emphasizes the digital platform for providing government services directly to beneficiaries through the “Mera Parivar-Meri Pehchaan” initiative. This includes showcasing the benefits of government schemes like ration distribution, agricultural subsidies, scholarships, medical assistance, and pensions for the elderly.
