The Sports Department Haryana has submitted property tax amounting to Rs 2 crore 20 lakh for Tau Devi Lal Sports Stadium and Rajiv Gandhi Sports Park to the Municipal Corporation Panchkula.
Numerous departments have availed interest rebates and paid property taxes to the Municipal Corporation. Over the past nine months, the Corporation has achieved a record property tax collection of Rs 17 crore 5 lakh from various government and private entities.
Panchkula Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal, emphasizing the impact of the ongoing property tax collection campaign, revealed that he is actively conducting meetings to boost the Corporation’s revenue, yielding significant results. Officials are actively engaging in raising awareness among citizens for timely property tax payments.
The Corporation’s achievement of collecting Rs 15 crore 5 lakh in nine months surpasses the previous years’ figures, which did not exceed Rs 11 crore.
Goyal urged residents to promptly pay property taxes to ensure ample funds for the city’s development.
