An alert has been issued in Haryana regarding the increasing cases of avian influenza H9N2 virus which is spreading rapidly in the northern region of China. Regular check up and monitoring process of respiratory disease and pneumonia in patients specially children has been started. The Director General (DG) of the Health Department has directed all the CMOs of the province to review the preparedness. Also, it has been asked to increase monitoring of pneumonia cases in children and to follow all the instructions issued during Corona.

After the Union Health Ministry issued an alert, the Haryana government has issued orders to all CMOs to remain alert. In the order issued by DG Health, it has been stated that monitoring of cases of pneumonia in children should be increased in all government and private hospitals of the state. Also, its report should be sent to the headquarters continuously. At the same time, a report should also be sent to the headquarters after review for the arrangement of medicines, oxygen etc. related to children in the hospitals. It has been instructed on behalf of the headquarters that there should not be any negligence in this matter.

It has been directed on behalf of the central government that the symptoms of influenza infection are very similar lke corona virus. In such a situation, all the states have been asked to follow the guidelines issued earlier regarding Corona infection. About this, the director general of the health department, Dr. Sonia Trikha Khullar said that no case of H9N2 has been confirmed yet anywhere in the country.

Following the guidelines of the central government, CMOs across the state have been instructed to be alert. No one needs to be panic. Parents must take care of your children and can contact doctors immediately if fever persists.
