Naveen Jindal Reaches to Cast Vote on Horseback

BJP MP Naveen Jindal made a unique entrance to a polling station in Kurukshetra, arriving on horseback to cast his vote for the Haryana Assembly elections.

Polling is underway across 90 constituencies in Haryana today, running from 7 AM to 6 PM. Over 2 crore voters are expected to participate, including 8,821 centenarians. Voting will take place at 20,632 polling stations throughout the state, marking a significant moment in the democratic process.

 

In this election, a total of 1,031 candidates are contesting, which includes 101 women and 464 independents, showcasing a diverse range of options for voters.
The BJP is facing strong competition as it aims for a third consecutive term, while the Congress seeks to reclaim power after a decade in the opposition.
While Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has expressed optimism about the upcoming elections, highlighting the significant development initiatives undertaken by the BJP government over the past decade. He emphasized that Haryana has evolved into a “developed state” under BJP leadership.

After spending two decades with the Congress party, the 54-year-old Naveen Jindal joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on March 24. On the same day, he was announced as the party’s candidate for Kurukshetra. Jindal first entered politics in the 2004 Lok Sabha elections, winning on a Congress ticket from the Kurukshetra constituency with a notable margin of 31.26%.
