Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar recently conducted an aerial survey of crop damage caused by unseasonal rains and hailstorms during his visit to Hisar. In his statement, Khattar assured that the Haryana government is fully committed to safeguarding the interests of farmers and ensuring their welfare. He further instructed the deputy commissioners to conduct a special ‘girdawari’ (crop loss assessment) and complete the work by April 15th. The compensation for affected farmers will be transferred to their accounts by May. Heavy rains accompanied by hail storms have affected several parts of the state over the past few days, causing significant damage to crops. Khattar’s visit aims to assess the situation and ensure timely assistance to affected farmers.
