Haryana Child Welfare Council hosts adoption ceremony

A ceremony commemorating adoption took place at the Haryana State Child Welfare Council’s crèche in Sector 15, with Vikrant Khandelwal, the Organization Minister of Bharat Vikas Parishad, serving as the chief guest. Ranjita Mehta, the Honorary General Secretary of the Council, welcomed Khandelwal and briefed him on the council’s activities. During the event, Khandelwal visited the crèche, interacting with the children and observing their activities. Mehta informed Khandelwal that the crèche caters to children aged zero to 6 years, and the Haryana State Child Welfare Council operates over 46 centers across different districts, providing care for children up to 18 years old.

She highlighted a recent instance where the council performed the Kanyadaan (giving away of the bride) for a girl in Rohtak who had been residing in their Bal Sadan (children’s home) and had completed various courses. In response, Khandelwal praised the council’s efforts, stating that the organization’s work for these children likely surpassed what their biological parents could have provided. He commended the Haryana State Child Welfare Council for playing a significant role in supporting children left destitute by their parents for various reasons. Khandelwal expressed his congratulations to Ranjita Mehta for her dedication and contribution to the cause. The event also saw the presence of Pawan Sharma, President of Rajasthan Family Service Organization, Chartered Accountant Pramod Vats, Inder Singh, Rajendra Gupta, Sudhir Kumar Garg, Sevmitra, Raj Garg, Shishu Graha in-charge Milan Pandit, Superintendent Amritpal Kaur, Supervisor Isha Malkanian, IT expert Sanjeet Kumar Singh, and others.
