Remember Suryakumar Yadav’s spectacular match-winning catch in the T20 World Cup final, which was celebrated as one of the greatest catches in cricket history? Despite this, Harsh Goenka, chairman of RPG Enterprises, recently expressed a different opinion on social media. He shared a clip from a 2023 Big Bash League match between Brisbane Heat and Sydney Sixers, praising Michael Neser’s controversial boundary catch as his personal favorite.

Goenka commented, “This is the most amazing catch I have seen— even better than the catch SKY had taken.” His post has sparked debate among cricket fans.

In the video, Neser appears to make a remarkable catch while staying within the boundary. He initially catches the ball, steps outside the boundary line, and then re-enters to complete the catch. While umpires accepted the catch as valid, the decision stirred controversy online, with many questioning the rule.

Despite the debate, fans remain divided. One user argued, “He had enough time and room to take it. Sure he had presence of mind, but SKY did it in far less time and space.”

Another commenter said, “Sir, presence of mind for sure, but @ICC needs to get their technicalities in practical order for legal catches. This should have been given not out. Player tossing the ball multiple times while being outside the official playing area. This doesn’t seem right.”
