In a vibrant celebration at Khalsa College of Technology and Business Studies in Phase 3A, the festival of Basant Panchami was joyously observed under the guidance of College Principal Dr. Harish Kumari. The college campus was adorned with students and staff dressed in yellow attire, radiating enthusiasm as they marked the occasion, exchanging heartfelt congratulations.

The college management added to the festive spirit by organizing a variety of entertaining competitions, thoroughly enjoyed by the participating students. Colorful kite-flying competitions and a lively turban-tying contest were among the highlights, showcasing the students’ eagerness to engage in the festivities. To create lasting memories, students took to the stage, dancing to spirited tunes and singing folk songs in celebration of Basant Panchami.

The NSS wing of the college contributed to the event by showcasing useful items crafted from waste materials, earning praise from College Principal Dr. Harish Kumari. Slogan writing and other participatory activities further added to the vibrancy of the occasion.
In a distinctive move, the college chose to celebrate Mother-Father-Children Worship Day instead of Valentine’s Day. Students expressed gratitude and love for their parents by honoring them with flower garlands on stage, reciting heartfelt poems that resonated with emotion. Parents, in turn, reciprocated by expressing their affection through poetry.

Dr. Harish Kumari, the College Principal, took the opportunity to underscore the historical significance of Basant Panchami, labeling it a festival of joy. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of respecting parents, contributing to the holistic celebration of the day.
The program concluded with the felicitation of competition winners, who were honored with mementos for their enthusiastic participation and commendable performances in various competitions. The event, marked by cultural richness and familial warmth, left an indelible impression on the college community.
