Rainfall swept across Chandigarh, Zirakpur, Kharar, and Mohali, accompanied by a hailstorm, as most regions in Punjab experienced precipitation. On Thursday, minimum temperatures remained above normal in various cities.
Cities like Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Patiala, Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Faridkot, and Mohali in Punjab, witnessed rainfall, as reported by the Meteorological Department.
Amritsar reported a minimum temperature of 9.3 degrees Celsius, marking a four-notch increase from the season’s average. Ludhiana and Patiala recorded 12.4 degrees Celsius each. In Punjab, Pathankot, Bathinda, Gurdaspur, and Faridkot noted minimum temperatures of 10.4, 11.2, 10.3, and 10.2 degrees Celsius, respectively. Chandigarh experienced a minimum temperature of 12.5 degrees Celsius, exceeding normal levels by three notches.
