According to a report by news agency ANI on Saturday, Pune Rural Police have filed an FIR against Manorama Khedkar, Dilip Khedkar parents of IAS Pooja Khedkar, and five others following a complaint by a farmer who claimed threats from Manorama.
According to senior police inspector Manoj Yadav, an FIR was filed on Friday night at Paud police station under sections 323, 504, and 506 of IPC, along with charges under the Arms Act.
Following the viral video depicting Manorama Khedkar threatening a group of men with a gun, an FIR was filed, further complicating matters for Puja Khedkar, the controversial bureaucrat. Pune Rural Police announced Friday evening that an investigation would commence to verify details, including the legality of her firearm possession.
“The Pune Rural Police have registered an FIR against Manorama Khedkar, Dilip Khedkar (parents of trainee IAS officer Pooja Khedkar), and five others. The FIR, filed last night at Paud police station, follows a complaint from a local farmer who alleged threats from Manorama Khedkar. Charges under the Arms Act have also been levied,” stated the Pune Rural Police.
