The Gujarat government has decided to reopen schools for classes 6 to 8 students from 2 September. After the meeting, the Minister of State for Education Bhupendrasinh Chudasama told reporters that the offline education of 32 lakh students studying in classes 6 to 8 in Gujarat will start from the above-mentioned date. Students will be called to schools with 50% capacity. Classes of more than 20,000 schools will start. At present, students of classes 9 to 12 are going to schools in Gujarat.

The rules of social distance and compulsory mask will also have to be followed. The organisation will have to provide hand wash and sanitiser. Online education will continue along with offline. Both government and private schools will have to follow the Gujarat government’s instructions. The Minister of Education congratulated the teachers for participating in the teacher survey. According to him, 38% of teachers participated in the survey.

On the other hand, Udgam School for Children and Zebar School for Children in Ahmedabad approached the parents regarding whether they wanted to send their children to school. As many as 58% (778 parents) said yes. Both schools contacted 1,850 parents, of whom 1,323 responded.

Parents are worried about the third wave, which is why some of them are avoiding sending their children to school. Parents have appealed to the government regarding quality education in online classes. On the other hand, with the introduction of offline education in schools, the burden of teaching online has also increased, so the schools are persuading parents to send their children to school.
