An official in Gujarat’s Navsari district reported severe waterlogging on Friday as a result of the previous night’s nonstop rain. Gujarat’s Navsari experienced severe water logging as a result of continuous rain starting last night, according to District Collector Amit Prakash Yadav. Due to the waterlogging situation, District Collector Yadav also proclaimed a holiday for all the city’s schools and colleges.

A rise in the water level in the Sinhan and Ghee dams of Dwarka was caused earlier on July 24 by heavy rains that pounded parts of Gujarat. The Sinhan and Ghee dams overflowed as a result of the relentless rain that was lashing parts of Gujarat’s Dwarka. On July 22, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that Gujarat would experience more than 20 cm of rain, with the possibility that it would continue in some isolated areas.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and enquired about the flood-like situation occurring in various parts of the state due to recent heavy rainfall.
Shah spoke to Gujarat’s Chief Minister as the state is battered by heavy monsoon rains with flood-like situations in its multiple cities. In the Junagadh district of Gujarat, heavy rains displayed their fury with cars being washed away by rivers.

Numerous cattle and vehicles were lost in a strong water flow in Junagadh as constant rain caused severe flooding in residential areas. Early in July, Gujarat experienced continuous, heavy rains that caused floods in low-lying areas of Saurashtra and Kutch. The Rajkot district also experienced severe waterlogging as a result of the persistent, heavy rains.
