Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel stated that aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for the MSME sector, the 10th edition of the Vibrant Summit has been extended to the districts of the state, beyond just Gandhinagar.
In this context, he mentioned that the government has embraced the Vibrant Gujarat Vibrant District system at this year’s Vibrant Summit to offer encouragement, development, and expansion platforms to small industries operating at the district and taluka levels in the state. Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel addressed the MSME Conclave organized on the third day of VGGS-24, reaching out to small, medium, and micro-entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers from across the country.
He highlighted that when Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated the Vibrant Summit tradition in 2003, several facilities needed development and improvement. Now, after two decades, with facilities in place, we have established a local platform for small and medium entrepreneurs to thrive under the ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative, while also elevating the Vibrant Summit to a global platform.
The Chief Minister emphasized that it is the government’s responsibility to ensure the success and progress of the state’s industries. The government consistently supports MSMEs, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for the MSME sector. Both the state government and the cabinet team of Gujarat are actively focusing on the development of the MSME sector.
In addition, the Chief Minister mentioned that Gujarat has gained global recognition through the Vibrant Summit. The 10th edition of the Vibrant Summit has been a success, thanks to the collaboration of all entrepreneurs and participants. With the same enthusiasm, we must continue working together with cooperation until the next Vibrant Summit. He emphasized that Gujarat is vibrant and will continue to be vibrant.
During this event, Union MSME Minister Narayan Rane stated that the revolutionary decisions made by the Central Government and the Government of Gujarat for the development of MSMEs, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, have now come to fruition. These steps have proven to be results-oriented. An MSME session has been organized to outline the roadmap for the year 2024. He highlighted that Gujarat significantly contributes to employment in the country through MSMEs, making it the preferred choice for industrialists in the transport and textile sectors. The path to building Viksit Bharat@2047 passes through Gujarat. He expressed confidence that India will become a superpower under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Industry Minister Balvantsinh Rajput mentioned that while Gujarat is formulating the roadmap for Viksit Bharat@2047, it is also diligently working to realize the dream of a 5 trillion economy, ranking third in e-commerce.
He stated that Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has made several arrangements to assist small businesses, including efforts to extend Vibrant Gujarat beyond Gandhinagar and reach traders in all districts of the state. He added that more than 16 lakh small entrepreneurs from Gujarat are making a significant contribution to the country’s exports.
On the final day of the Vibrant Summit, Home and Industry Minister of State Harsh Sanghavi emphasized that MSMEs are the heart of Gujarat. The Vibrant Gujarat-2024 platform has something for everyone.
