Located on her left upper eyelid, she had her longest lash measured at an astonishing 20.5 centimeters (8.0 inches) when it was officially recorded in Shanghai, China, on May 20, 2021.
She holds the record for the world's longest eyelash a truly remarkable and singular feature. Her story is one of natural wonder and constant growth.

You Jianxia's eyelashes have continued to grow with each passing day, something that has puzzled biologists. So far, no doctor or scientist has been able to explain why her lashes grow out to such extreme lengths.
You Jianxia believes the growth started sometime in 2013, a little after she had spent almost 18 months living in the countryside that is, close to nature. She thinks this may be the reason behind her strange hair growth and considers it a gift rather than some weird medical condition.

An average person would consider even one hair on their eyelid to be a huge problem, either causing irritation or sight problems if over eight inches long.
