In their Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated the hosts Lucknow Super Giants(LSG) by seven runs thanks to one of the best death-bowling performances in T20 cricket from Mohammed Shami and Mohit Sharma. This resulted in skipper KL Rahul’s half-century being ineffective.

With this victory, GT has four victories, two losses, and a total of eight points, placing them in fourth place in the points standings. With four victories, three losses, and a total of eight points, LSG is ranked second. KL Rahul began the 136-run chase after playing another maiden over. However, he started to rampage after the third over, slamming Rashid Khan for two straight boundaries in the fifth over and Mohammed Shami for three straight fours.

GT finished their innings at 135/6, with Stoinis getting his second wicket on the final ball of the innings. David Miller was dismissed for six runs off 12 balls after being caught by Hooda. Krunal was the leading bowler for LSG, with a spell of 2/16 in four overs. Marcus Stoinis took 2/20 in his three overs. Naveen and Amit took a wicket each.
