The residents of Wave Estate Mohali, in collaboration with the Wave Estate Residents Welfare Association Sector 85 Mohali, celebrated the sacred festival of Mahashivratri with immense devotion and grandeur today.

In partnership with Sohana Super Specialty Hospital, a health camp offering free mammography, blood pressure, diabetes, and general checkups was organized, benefiting a large number of attendees. Hardev Singh Ubha, BJP Punjab State Press Secretary, shared on this auspicious day that Maha-Shivratri commemorates the union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. According to legend, Lord Shiva renounced his ascetic life and married Goddess Parvati on Phalgun Chaturdashi.

Hence, Mahashivratri is annually celebrated on this date to honor their divine union. Devotees marked the occasion by conducting processions of Lord Shiva and engaging in Sankirtan at various locations. Additionally, as a demonstration of their devotion, followers arranged langars at different spots. Hardev Singh Ubha, along with Resident Welfare Association President Manoj Sharma and Advocate D.S. Virak, extended congratulations to the community on the joyous occasion of Maha Shivratri.

To enhance the celebrations, an uninterrupted langar serving tea and pakodas was also arranged.
