Under the aegis of Higher Education Haryana, Government PG College Sector-1 organised Mega Job Fest 2024 for all government colleges in District Panchkula today on the campus. In the fest, students from six colleges participated enthusiastically.

Yashpal Singh, Principal of Govt PG College, Sector-1, was the chief guest of the event. He formally inaugurated the Mega Job Fest. Addressing the participants from various companies and students, Singh said that knowledge and perfection result in success. While focusing on skill enhancement, he mentioned that education can magically change the lives of students. He emphasised that the college aims not only to provide education but also to secure a future for its students.

Co-Convenor of the fest, Prof. Naveen Kumar, welcomed the chief guest and HR professionals from recruiting companies. In his address, he extended best wishes to the students participating in the job fest. Students from graduation, final year, and postgraduate classes of Government Colleges in Barwala, Kalka, Raipur, including three Government colleges of Panchkula, attended this year’s annual Job Fair. Ten companies from different regions participated in this job fair.

Professor of Mass Communication and the convener of this Job Fest, Dr. Chitra Tanwar, mentioned that the college had organised pre-placement training for all job-aspiring students. During the training program, students learned the do’s and don’ts of interviews, communication skills, and how to create a resume. The placement training for students from all participating colleges was also conducted by Sector-1 College. The college campus was full of job-aspiring students, and food facilities were provided to students participating in this fair.
