Goods worth lakhs, lying in a house, were burnt to ashes due to a fire in a flat in Sapphire Court Colony on Swastik Vihar, located on the local Patiala Road. According to the information, a sudden fire broke out in the society’s flat, number 825B, at around 10:00 in the morning.
Seeing smoke coming out of the windows, the neighbors called the fire brigade. The flat owner had gone out somewhere with his family, and neighbors also informed them over the phone. The fire brigade immediately swung into action, reaching the spot and bringing the fire under control after about an hour of hard work. By then, all the household items lying in the flat were burnt to ashes, and nothing was left.
When the owner of the flat reached his house after the fire brigade personnel extinguished the fire, he saw that there was nothing left in the flat. The cause of the fire has not been known yet.
Talking about this, Fire Officer Rajeev Kumar said that we received information at 10:00 that a flat in Sapphire Court, located in Swastik Vihar Colony, was on fire. So, we immediately reached the spot with a fire tender and extinguished the fire. The cause of the fire has not been known yet. Talking about the fire rules of the society, he said that he has not yet investigated whether the society is built as per the fire rules or not. If we get any complaint regarding this, then we will go there and investigate.
