Miss Jamaica Gabrielle Henry was hospitalized for three days after falling off the stage during the preliminary round of the Miss Universe on November 19. Currently, she is getting treated in Thailand, where her sister Dr. Phylicia Henry-Samuels is accompanying her.
In a statement shared with People, Dr. Henry-Samuels mentioned that “Gabby isn’t doing as well as we would have hoped, but the hospital continues to treat her accordingly.”
Henry's medical team has determined that he must stay in the intensive care unit at least seven days while doctors and nurses provide much-needed around-the-clocks scrutiny and specialized care.
The Miss Universe Jamaica Organisation has urged the public to desist from spreading harmful comments or misinformation, as it may further harm the family.
The update highlighted that the focus is on Gabrielle's recovery and called for compassion, sensitivity, and privacy while her loved ones deal with this challenging situation.
Gabrielle Henry, an ophthalmologist, was crowned Miss Universe Jamaica 2025 and is now competing in the main event held in Thailand. She is a resident at the University Hospital of the West Indies. Reports further detail that she is a trained singer and pianist.
