Wandance anime premiered in Japan on October 8, with its exclusive international streaming rights held by Disney+. Wandance anime focuses on Kaboku Kotani, a shy high school student with a stammer who wishes to be overlooked or unnoticed. His life changes forever as, coincidentally, he observes Hikari Wanda, the cheerful class fellow, openly dancing along the corridor. Kaboku is encouraged to experiment with the school's dance club with the help of Hikari's self-confidence and love for dancing. The anime is based on their friendship, the concept of self-expression in the form of bodily movement, as well as the challenges of growing up, stage fright, and more.
