Kantara: Chapter 1
Rishab Shetty is returning with the prequel to the 2022 blockbuster hit Kantara. The movie explores the mythologies and rivalries introduced in the 2022 movie. Shetty takes on the role of Berme, who takes on Kulashekara (Gulshan Devaiah), a king who feels threatened by Berme. Kantara: Chapter 1 is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 2nd.

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari
Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor are teaming up to bring fans a romantic comedy produced under the Dharma banner. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, it is the story of two former lovers who try to give their relationship a second chance, leading to confusion and chaos. Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari will release in theatres on October 2nd.

Idli Kadai
Dhanush is also gracing the screens this week with his upcoming drama Idli Kadai. Written, directed, and starring Dhanush, the movie is the story of Murugan (Dhanush), a son who leaves his family’s idli shop to pursue a career in hotel management. Things turn south when he faces betrayal from his business partner, prompting him to return to his roots. Idli Kadai is slated for release on October 1st.

The Smashing Machine
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is entering the MMA cage this Friday in his upcoming biographical sports drama The Smashing Machine. It features the WWE star turned Hollywood star as Mark Kerr, a decorated MMA fighter. The movie is the story of Mark Kerr’s life and how he deals with the hardship he faces in the sport. The Smashing Machine releases in theatres on October 3rd.
