Rashmika Mandanna has quickly risen from a promising debutant to a major star in just nine years. She spoke about her journey and how she remains humble despite her success.
Rashmika’s Rise to Stardom
Initially starting in Kannada films, Rashmika soon expanded into Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi cinema. In the interview, she shared that her goal is not to seek superstardom but to make people smile. Furthermore, she emphasized the importance of staying connected to her Coorgi roots, regardless of her achievements.
She said, “Luckily, it’s not an extra effort that I need to make (to have humility). My brain is already wired in a way… (I know) that all the things that we adore, all the things we enjoy, all these luxuries, can stay or go in an instant. That is something that keeps me grounded and connected to my roots.”
Family and Friends Keep Her Grounded
Moreover, Rashmika credited her family and friends for helping her stay grounded. “They’re the right kind of people in my life, all of whom believe in being grounded… so that also plays a very important part and really helps, you know? Surrounded by such people, I can say I’m in a good space right now!”
Her Career Trajectory
Rashmika’s last two films were big hits. Animal (2023) with Ranbir Kapoor and Pushpa 2: The Rule (2024) with Allu Arjun both performed well at the box office. Notably, Rashmika’s acting was highly praised in both movies.
Looking ahead, she has several exciting projects lined up, including Chhaava, Sikandar, and Thama in Hindi, as well as The Girlfriend and Kubera in Telugu. Chhaava is set to release on February 14, with the release dates for the others still to be confirmed.
