Giorgio Armani, global fashion giant, passed away at the age of 91. Referred to as "Re Giorgio" or "King Giorgio," he won hearts with his classic yet simple designs. Armani was at home when he passed away after battling poor health for several months. Even at his advanced age, he was deeply involved with his brand and design work until his final breath.
Armani began doing work during the 1970s and officially set up his fashion house in Milan in 1975. His mode of fashion was different from what the world was used to at the time. Instead of bold colors and thick clothing, Armani promoted soft lines, soft fabrics, and casual but stylish clothing and for his unique sense of style Armani became worldwide famous in no time.
He became especially famous for his deconstructed suits, which gave both men and women a chance to look professional without feeling stiff. His approach to clothing changed the way people dressed at offices, in public events, and on red carpets around the world. Armani’s idea of elegance was all about simplicity, grace, and timeless beauty which made him a true legend.
Armani is getting remembered from sports and fashion icons like David and Victoria Beckham, they both shared their admiration for his contribution to the industry making him a true legend. These messages show just how far Armani’s influence had reached, from Milan to Hollywood to Bollywood.
Armani traveled to India in 1994, and the culture left a lasting impression on him. He was fascinated by the traditional Indian attire and began creating collections around it soon there after. One of his famous designs, inspired by the achkan jacket, was an example of how much respect he had for Indian tradition. This showed how Armani could take inspiration from various cultures but retain his own identity.

There will be a public farewell at the Armani Teatro in Milan on September 6 and 7, where fans and admirers can come to pay respects. Then there will be a private burial by close family and friends, as per his personal desire.
