Rasha Thadani made her debut in Azaad. Coming from the legacy of her mother, Raveena Tandon, Rasha shares how her mother keeps her grounded. “My mom does it beautifully because she never says she’s proud of me. She knows that if she keeps saying it, I might go in the wrong direction,” says Rasha. She adds, “There’s never a feeling of completion with her. When you feel complete, there’s no room for growth. She molds me beautifully.”

Challenges of Acting in Today’s World

Rasha admits that entering the acting world today is tough. She explains that the box office is unpredictable. “Times always change and evolve. Each phase brings its hardships, and they’ll continue to come. No one has had an easy start,” she says. However, she believes in adapting to change. “You have to accept what’s happening, evolve with it, and cater to what the audience wants. You can’t just wait for a perfect time. Keep working hard, and the rest is destiny.”

Rasha’s Shielded Journey to Acting

As Raveena Tandon’s daughter, Rasha’s debut was highly anticipated. However, Rasha was shielded from the attention. “The talk of my debut was always there, but I didn’t know about it. In school, I didn’t pay much attention to this world. It wasn’t until grade 12, when I started shooting the film, that I took the leap,” she says.

A Changed Perspective

Reflecting on her journey, Rasha reveals how much she’s grown. “When we started working on the film, I was a completely different person. I didn’t know anything about this world. Even now, I’m still learning, but I know more than I did back then. I always knew I wanted to act, but I didn’t know when or how it would happen.”
