Television actress Priya Marathe, who has acted in both Hindi and Marathi serials, passed away aged 38 because of her long illness related to cancer. She passed away on August 31, 2025, at her home on Mumbai’s Mira Road. Fans and those involved in television have been terribly devastated by her unexpected passing.

Early Life and Career

Born on 23 April 1987 in Thane, Maharashtra, Priya Marathe started her acting career with the Marathi serial Ya Sukhano Ya. She then featured in Char Divas Sasuche, gaining recognisation for her diverse performances. Her talent was noticed by Hindi television producers, and she got the role of Vidya Bali in Kasamh Se. Priya also demonstrated her comic talent by appearing in the first season of Comedy Circus.

Rise to Fame with Pavitra Rishta

Priya became well-known nationwide with her performance in the popular serial Pavitra Rishta, in which she acted as the sister of Archana. Her performance captured the hearts of the millions of viewers and established her position among Indian television personalities.
