New OTT Releases: OTT platforms are having an amazing 2025. There has been no shortage of exclusive movies and TV series on streaming, and every other release seems to be starting a new trend on social media. This week continues the trend with a fresh set of new releases on OTT platforms such as Netflix, Zee5, Prime Video and More.

New Releases To Watch on OTT (Netflix, Prime Video and More):

The first weekend of September has brought an exciting mix of movies and series on OTT platforms. From heartfelt romances to thrilling crime dramas and fun adventures, here are five new releases you shouldn’t miss.

1. Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 – Netflix

Wednesday also made a comeback with the release of its Season 2 Part 2. Starring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, this season dives deeper into mysteries at Nevermore Academy. Joined by new cast member Lady Gaga as a mysterious teacher, this season is marketed as darker and more thrilling than the first.

Wednesday, Season 2, Part 2, is available for streaming on Netflix.

2. Inspector Zende – Stream on Netflix

Manoj Bajpayee is also greeted by fans this week with the release of Inspector Zende on Netflix. Starring Bajpayee as a vigilant Mumbai police officer and Jim Sarbh as a shrewd criminal, this movie is based on the true-life pursuit of serial killer Charles Sobhraj. This movie, made in the 1970s and 80s style, is a combination of suspense, comedy, and drama.

Inspector Zende is streaming on Netflix.

3. Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan – Stream on ZEE5

Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is a romantic drama film streaming on Zee5. The film stars Vikrant Massey as the blind musician Jahaan and Shanaya Kapoor as Saba, a theatre artist, and is about how they form an unlikely connection over a train ride through the Himalayas. A romantic drama inspired by Ruskin Bond’s short story “The Eyes Have It,” it’s a poignant story of love, connection, and life’s adversities.

Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan can be streamed on Zee5.

4. Maalik – Amazon Prime Video

Rajkumar Rao’s gritty crime thriller, Maalik on Amazon Prime Video. It is the tale of Deepak (Rajkumar Rao), a son of a farmer who becomes a dominant gangster in 1980s North India. Manushi Chhillar and Prosenjit Chatterjee also feature in principal roles as the movie traces the journey of ambition, power, and betrayal.

Maalik can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.

5. A Minecraft Movie – Watch on JioHotstar

The box office hit, A Minecraft Movie premiered on JioHotstar. This live-action movie features Jason Momoa, Jack Black, Danielle Brooks, and Emma Myers as four outcasts who are brought into the blocky world of Overworld. They join forces with a quirky crafter to return home. It’s an entertaining, family-friendly flick loaded with action and humour, something gamers and non-gamers will enjoy.
