One Piece live-action by Netflix has finally got an official release date. The series will officially hit the streaming platforms on March 10, 2025. The news was revealed during the official One Piece news stream, which broadcast on October 28 at 6:30 PM IST.
The One Piece series on Netflix aired its first season in 2023 to positive reactions from fans worldwide. The live-action adaptation of the globally renowned anime series by Eiichiro Oda was a gateway for many fans to enter the world of One Piece.
Upon the ending of the series, the streamer announced that the live-action to be a long-running project of the streaming giant, given their history of past live-action adaptations of popular anime series. However, contrary to the rest of their releases, the One Piece series was widely appreciated for the sincerity displayed in the adaptation.
The sequel season of the series was teased after the roaring success of the first, and fans had been waiting for the release ever since. Netflix geared up the promotion for season 2 of the adaptation in August 2025 by dropping the first look of the series, teasing the release to release sometime in 2026. The streamer also announced that the production of its third season to be underway soon.
Now, after a few months since the first look's release and a lot of promotional materials along with it, the official release date of the series was finally announced with another major news about the anime series. Season 2 of the One Piece series on Netflix–official title: One Piece: Into The Grand Line– is finally hitting the streaming service on March 10, 2026.
The first season of the One Piece Netflix series covered the East Blue Saga, which included the Romance Dawn Arc, Orange Town Arc, Syrup Village Arc, Baratie Arc and Arlong Park Arc.
Season 2 of the series will continue from the events after the Arlong Park arc. It will pick up the story from the Loguetown arc, where Luffy will first cross paths with Smoker, as shown in the series' promotional material. From there, the series will follow the Straw Hats as they continue their adventure into the Grand Line, covering Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island arcs.
The official synopsis of One Piece: Into The Grand Line reads, "Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line — a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn. As they journey through this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they’ll encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies."
Season 2 of the One Piece live-action series is also titled One Piece: Into The Gran Line and is slated to release on March 10, 2026, exclusively on Netflix.
