About The Conjuring: Last Rites
The upcoming film, releasing September 5, is directed by Michael Chaves, who previously helmed The Devil Made Me Do It and The Nun II. Producers James Wan and Peter Safran return, with Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga reprising their iconic roles, joined by Mia Tomlinson and Ben Hardy.
This final installment draws from the infamous Smurl haunting in Pennsylvania, where Jack and Janet Smurl claimed their home was plagued by demonic forces between 1974 and 1989, a story that once made national headlines and inspired the 1991 TV film The Haunting.
