The Immortal Man will premiere on Netflix in 2026.
Peaky Blinders is considered one of the best TV series of recent times. Started in 2013, the series starring Cillian Murphy in the lead role skyrocketed to fame, gaining global recognition. The series concluded in 2022 with its sixth season, ending the nearly decade-long journey of Peaky Blinders. However, following the conclusion reports of a spin-off movie, The Immortal Man, started circulating. The rumours were later confirmed to be true with reports of the movie's production popping up online.
In a recent conversation with The Observer, the Peaky Blinders star talked about the upcoming Peaky Blinders movie and how it came to be. The spin-off came as a result of Murphy saying in interviews that he's open to stepping into the shoes of Thomas Shelby once again, if there is a good story to be told. Sharing his reasoning for agreeing to the spin-off, the actor said that he feels a responsibility to deliver fans a good ending to the series.
"Because we got a really good script, and I have a sense of duty to the fans because, in many ways, they made the show the success that it is," said Murphy.
He also shared that the movie provides a fitting end to the long-running series, saying, "It’s a proper bookend to the whole 36 hours of television."

In the piece published by the British newspaper, it was revealed that the movie is scheduled for release sometime next year on Netflix. Reportedly, the film finished its production in December of last year, with fans looking forward to the release ever since.
Cillian Murphy became a globally renowned actor after the success of Peaky Blinders. In his long acting career, the actor has been a part of hit movies such as 28 Days Later, Batman Begins, and Oppenheimer, among others. His upcoming movie Steve, premiered at TIFF to favourable reviews, and it is now scheduled for a Netflix release on 3rd October 2025.
