Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas were spotted together once more, this time out in London just a few weeks following a sunny yacht outing off Menorca. On July 25, the couple were spotted disembarking from a helicopter, going incognito in relaxed gear Cruise in a T-shirt and jeans, Ana in leggings and a sweatshirt. She also brought her two dogs, Elvis and Sasha, along for the ride.
This sighting has fueled speculation that the two could be more than friends. Rumors first started in February when they were seen out and about in London on February 13 posing for pictures with fans without appearing to be coy about their relationship.
Fans jumped to the conclusion of a romantic vacation for the two actors but both are adamant that their relationship is work-driven. Several months later after that initial sighting, Ana cleared the air that their constant hangouts had been with directors Christopher McQuarrie and Doug Liman, E! News reports. The pair is collaborating on Deeper, a supernatural thriller taking place beneath the ocean's surface and directed by Liman.
“It made me really happy and proud to have someone like him championing my film,” Ana told E! News during the Ballerina premiere on June 3. The Knight and Day actor has not been shy about praising her either. “There’s an actress who has dramatic chops, someone who’s comedic, very, very talented. Just a great actress,” he told Access Hollywood at the Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning premiere in May.
Cruise and de Armas are both well-acquainted with the rumor mill. The Mission Impossible star has been romantically linked to almost every woman co-star he has had since his earliest days in Hollywood, while the latter has also had her fair share of tabloid frenzy. Her romance with Deep Water co-star Ben Affleck gave her a lot of attention, so much so that she eventually fled Los Angeles, describing the experience as "horrible."
Cruise's private life has been no less public. He married his Days of Thunder co-star Nicole Kidman and later went out with Vanilla Sky co-star Penélope Cruz. Nevertheless, as de Armas' past reveals, being spotted together doesn't always translate to romance.
