The alleged fallout was a result of a trespassing attempt on the home of Travis Kelce in Kansas. A process server, trying to serve legal papers on Blake Lively's defamation lawsuit against It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni, purportedly leaped over the fence of Kelce's property. The trespasser was apprehended, causing tension that is said to have affected Swift and Lively's friendship.
Months after rumors of a fallout spread, confirmation of the reconciliation came through Travis Kelce, Swift’s fiancé. During an episode of the New Heights podcast, co-hosted with his brother Jason Kelce, Jason referred to Blake as “our friend,” signaling that the friendship between Taylor and Blake remains intact.
During the same podcast, the Kelce brothers gushed over Blake Lively's acting in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Jason explained, "It is also the film debut of our buddy Blake Lively. She killed it. Absolutely marvelous, as Bridget."
Travis joined in, "Killed it. I may be a bit biased, but I thought Bridget's plot was the most real and likely the most fun."
Jason also explained Lively as "tall, strong, bold, beautiful, and athletic," complimenting her performance and charm.
The podcast episode, taped almost a year ago but released just after Taylor Swift's new album, The Life of a Showgirl, created fan rumor of a reunion. The album has a song called "CANCELLED," which is said to be about the brief estrangement. Supporting the clues, Blake Lively liked one of Swift's postings about the album on social media.
What started out as a miscommunication tied to the Travis Kelce trespassing ordeal is now in the rearview.
