Singer-actor Selena Gomez and music producer Benny Blanco are said to be busy tying up loose ends for their wedding. The latest reports by Daily Mail through Page Six indicate that the couple will be exchanging vows this September in California. Invitations have already been sent out, with Taylor Swift and her beau Travis Kelce among the invitees.
A source told, “Selena and Benny’s wedding will be a two-day affair in Montecito in September. Everyone invited has been requested to bring overnight bags to stay for the weekend.”
Though it’s only for friends and family, many on the friends list are big celebrities, including Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, Selena’s co-stars from ‘Only Murders In The Building’, as well as music superstars who are Benny’s friends and some he’s worked with too.
Is Taylor Swift the Reason Behind This Timing?
Insiders revealed that a late summer wedding is ideal for the couple’s calendar. “A late summer wedding was perfect for the singer, 32, and Benny, 37, because the former’s calendar will become hectic this fall and winter,” revealed another source.
But a third source ruled out the theory that the wedding date was chosen specifically to fit around Taylor Swift’s diary. They explained, “Selena wants Taylor to come and she would love for her to be able to come with Travis,” but added it wasn’t planned entirely around her schedule.
Love Story of Selena-Benny
Selena, 32, and Benny, 32, have been dating since June 2023, although their relationship became public only last December.
Before romanticizing, the two had worked together several times, such as on Selena’s 2015 release Kill ‘Em with Kindness, Trust Nobody in 2017, and on Benny’s music video for I Can’t Get Enough. In December 2024, the couple confirmed that they were engaged. This past month, Benny revealed that their wedding would be ‘chill’ but ‘amazing’.
