Pop icon Lady Gaga will launch a fresh track titled “Dead Dance” in the second season of Netflix’s hit series Wednesday, according to Variety. The show, led by Jenna Ortega, is set to premiere this week.
Music Video to Follow Her Acting Debut
The song and its accompanying music video are expected to release next month. It will coincide with Gaga’s debut as Rosaline Rotwood, described as a “legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday.”
Gaga Spotted with Director Tim Burton
Reports have surfaced that Lady Gaga was seen filming with director Tim Burton at the eerie Island of the Dolls in Xochimilco, Mexico City — a place infamous for its creepy collection of decaying dolls.
Mayhem Team Likely Behind the Song
A source close to the production revealed Gaga is possibly working with the same music team behind her Mayhem album to produce the new track. At Netflix’s Tudum fan event in May, Gaga confirmed her involvement in Wednesday Season 2 by making a theatrical entrance from a coffin labeled “Here lies the monster queen.” She also performed “Zombieboy” from her Mayhem album.
