Jennifer Lopez, the Let’s Get Loud singer and global icon, is making headlines after a surprising incident during her visit to Istanbul. The superstar, known for her massive worldwide fan base, was reportedly denied entry into a Chanel store, leaving fans stunned.
According to The Indian Express, Lopez was shopping at Istinye Park — a luxury mall filled with designer brands — when she approached the Chanel boutique. Security guards at the entrance told her the store was full and refused entry.
Reports suggest the staff may not have recognised her. By the time they realised who she was, it was too late.
Eyewitnesses told Turkiye Today that Lopez was dressed in a baby-pink dress and oversized matching sunglasses. When guards stopped her, she smiled and replied, “Okay, no problem.” She then walked away without complaint.
During her Istanbul tour stop, Jennifer Lopez was stopped at a Chanel boutique, told the store was full, and walked away smiling before splurging at other luxury brands.
Later, when store employees tried to invite her back, she declined. Instead, she spent her time shopping at other luxury boutiques such as Celine and Beymen, reportedly spending tens of thousands of dollars.
Lopez is currently in Turkey for her Up All Night summer tour, which began in Spain on July 8 and will wrap up on August 10 in Kazakhstan. Her Istanbul stop is part of a 19-city schedule.
Before arriving in Turkey, Lopez performed in Egypt, where she blended her birthday week celebrations with tour performances. On July 31, she shared Instagram Stories featuring her in a black string bikini while lounging in a hammock. Fans quickly noticed her toned physique and effortless style.
She also posted moments from her Egyptian stop — from dazzling fireworks and glamorous mirror selfies to dancing beside a towering birthday cake. Her birthday on July 24 may have passed, but she has kept the celebrations alive throughout her travels.
The Up All Night tour will end on August 3 in Yerevan, Armenia. However, Lopez will return to the stage soon, with her Las Vegas residency scheduled at The Colosseum, Caesars Palace, in December 2025, January 2026, and March 2026.
