Pop sensation Dua Lipa, has shared rare insights about her relationship with fiancé Callum Turner, saying in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar U.S. that she has “intensely fallen” for the Masters of the Air actor and feels “happier than ever.”
The pair first sparked dating rumors in January 2024 before confirming their romance in June, and a year later news of their engagement emerged when Dua was seen wearing a diamond ring.
Admitting that she has always been drawn to romance, Dua said she “loves love” and finds it “a beautiful thing” that is both “inspiring” and “scary” because of the vulnerability it demands. She explained that while she had once been protective of her heart, she is now allowing herself to take risks, adding: “If I’m supposed to get hurt, then this is what’s going to happen.”
She also revealed why she speaks openly about her relationship, saying she feels it would be “a disservice by not talking about it” when she is the “happiest” she has ever been. For Dua, love deserves to be celebrated, even if it means being exposed in the public eye.
The Grammy winner confirmed that she and Callum are engaged, calling the decision “very exciting” and describing it as a choice to “grow old together, to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever.”
Although the couple has not set wedding plans, Dua admitted she has started thinking about her dress, confessing: “I’ve never been someone who’s really thought about a wedding or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden, I’m like, ‘Oh, what would I wear?’”
She also praised her engagement ring, saying it feels “nice to know the person that you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well.”
When asked about the future, Dua said she “would love to have kids one day” but acknowledged the challenge of balancing parenthood with a demanding career. She reflected: “It’s the constant question of when would there ever be a good time—how it would fit in with my job and how it would work if I went on tour, and how much time out I’d have to take.”
Dua added that while she adores children, she understands that raising a family requires more than affection alone.
