Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, have announced happy news, the couple welcomed a child after they adopted a baby girl.
The couple, who wed in October, posted the news online, stating they had “welcomed [their] sweet baby girl through adoption” over the summer. With a drawing of a tree and to the tune of the Beatles’ Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, they captioned: “We are completely thrilled to start this lovely next chapter of parenthood in peace and in private. And then there were 3.”
A New Beginning for Brown and Bongiovi
Brown, 21, gained fame for her leading role as Eleven in the hit Netflix series Stranger Things. Bongiovi, 23, is a model and the son of rock star Jon Bon Jovi. The two got engaged in 2023 before tying the knot in a private ceremony the next year. At the time, Bongiovi posted pictures from their wedding on his social media account with the caption: “Forever and always, your husband.”
For Brown, starting a family has been a long-held dream. Speaking earlier this year on the SmartLess podcast with Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett, she expressed her desire for a large family and her openness to adoption. “Jake knows how important it is to me [to have a child],” she said. While committed to her growing career as both an actor and producer, Brown stressed that family life was equally important.

Balancing Career and Personal Life
Brown’s career remains in top gear. She has just appeared with Chris Pratt in the sci-fi epic The Electric State and has set up in writing, with her first novel Nineteen Steps coming out in 2023. Based on her grandmother’s survival of the 1943 Bethnal Green tube disaster, the novel caused controversy when it was discovered that Kathleen McGurl had written it as a ghostwriter. Though controversy was stirred, Brown openly credited McGurl, tweeting: “I couldn’t have done this without you!”
Now that adoption has checked one of her greatest personal ambitions off the list, Brown appears poised to mesh Hollywood success with family life. For her fans, the announcement represents the beginning of a beautiful new chapter one that reaches far beyond the screen.
