Starting 2026, ESPN will stream major WWE events, including WrestleMania and SummerSlam, through its new direct-to-consumer platform, enhancing its sports content and fan engagement.
WWE has entered into a major streaming agreement with ESPN that will bring some of its biggest live events, including WrestleMania to ESPN’s new direct-to-consumer (DTC) streaming platform beginning in 2026. The deal was officially announced on Wednesday.
The multi-year agreement features premium live events such as SummerSlam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, and Money in the Bank. It also includes two-night specials like WrestleMania. As part of the deal, ESPN will have access to stream WWE’s pre- and post-event programming as well.
ESPN chairman Jimmy Pitaro expressed his excitement, “WWE has an immense, devoted and passionate fanbase that we're excited to super-serve on our new ESPN DTC platform.”
He added, “This agreement, which features the most-significant WWE events of the year, bolsters our unprecedented content portfolio and helps drive our streaming future.”
Mark Shapiro, TKO president and COO, welcomed the partnership as a strategic move for both sides.
“We are proud to reinforce the 'E' in ESPN at such an exciting juncture in its direct-to-consumer journey,” Shapiro noted, also praising WWE's storytelling and athleticism. "Through our UFC relationship, we have experienced firsthand how transformational an ESPN presence can be, and we know this will be an exceptional partnership at a time of great innovation for both companies.”
ESPN's new streaming platform will release on August 21, 2026. The monthly subscription fee is $29.00. The subscribers will get access to ESPN'S seven domestic linear networks as well as RSPN on ABC and various other streaming options.
Currently, WWE events are streamed on Peacock, but that will change once the ESPN deal kicks in. Starting in 2026, ESPN will become the new digital home for WWE’s marquee live events.
