Singer Billie Eilish surprised fans in Manchester by announcing she is working on a 3D project with iconic filmmaker James Cameron. According to Variety, Eilish paused her performance at Co-op Live on Saturday to share the news.

Mysterious Project Being Filmed in Manchester

Although Billie didn’t reveal the project’s name or purpose, she admitted to filming something special during her four-night stay in Manchester. She hinted that the nature of the filming required her to repeat her outfit for several shows.

Addressing the audience, Eilish said, “So you may have noticed that there are more cameras than usual in here.” She continued, “Basically, I can't say much about it but what I can say is that I'm working on something very, very special with somebody named James Cameron and it's going to be in 3D. So, take that as you will and these four shows here in Manchester, you and me are part of a thing that I am making with him. He's in this audience somewhere, just saying. So don't mind that, and also I'll probably be wearing this exact outfit for like four days in a row.”

Fans Speculate on What’s Being Filmed

Eilish hasn’t provided more details, but her fans are already guessing what it could be. Many believe it might be a music video, concert film, or even a full-length documentary especially since James Cameron, known for directing Avatar, is involved.

Past Film Work by Eilish

This wouldn’t be Billie’s first screen project. In 2021, she released a well-received documentary titled Billie Eilish: The World's a Little Blurry. She also put out a concert film called Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles, showing her creative versatility beyond music.

On Tour with 'Hit Me Hard and Soft'

Billie Eilish is currently touring the globe to promote her third studio album, Hit Me Hard and Soft, which debuted in 2024. She launched the tour in North America last September and has already performed in Australia. After finishing her Manchester shows, she will travel to Japan before wrapping up the tour in the United States. Her final concert is scheduled for November 23 at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
