Dude, which was tentatively titled PM 04, is an upcoming Tamil romantic action comedy directed by Keerthiswaran. The movie is produced under the Mythri Movie Makers as their second Tamil release. It stars Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles.
The trailer begins with Aravind and his friend operating a bizarre business: surprise parties, creating an ideal playground for comedy and disaster. The train of events steers off when Aravind is head-over-heels in love with his cousin Kural, played by Mamitha Baiju. There follows a haphazard blend of romantic forays, misunderstandings, over-the-top family responses, and some unexpected turns.
Dynamic editing, fresh dialogue, and energetic choreography provide the style that Pradeep's fans have grown accustomed to. Sharing the screen with Ranganatha in the film are R. Sarath Kumar, Rohini, Hridhu Haroon, and Aishwarya Sharma complete a skilled cast, assuring a rollercoaster of emotions and entertainment. Sai Abhyankkar's music adds to the energy, with infectious melodies mingling with vibrant visuals.

"Dude" tells the story of Aravind, an irrepressibly optimistic event organiser whose world is turned upside down when he falls for Kural. Navigating unrequited feelings, family hilarity, and the challenges of growing up, Aravind’s journey is a heartfelt coming-of-age tale mixed with romance, action, and wacky surprises. From messy parties to complicated relationships, the film promises to capture every shade of modern youth life.
Along with his box office success, Pradeep Ranganatha has also attracted a lot of negative attention for his similarity to Dhanush. The comparisons were also brought up during the promotions of his February 2025 release "Dragon." At the time, the "Love Today" actor dismissed the comparisons by saying, "I hear this a lot. I'm not trying to act like anyone. There may be some comparisons due to body structure or facial shape. But that's it. I don't know if it's a good or a bad thing. I just see what I am when I look in the mirror," he said earlier this year."
Ashwath Marimuthu, the director of Drago, also shared his view on the comparisons, "Pradeep Ranganathan is Pradeep Ranganathan. I don't see any other actor like you are saying." Despite the comparisons, Pradeep Ranganatha has garnered praise from the audience, with his ventures always reporting big numbers at the box office. The "Dude" trailer has also been receiving positive reception on social media, with fans eagerly waiting for its release.
Dude is scheduled for a theatrical release on Diwali, October 17.
