The sudden death of Bollywood actress Divya Bharti at the age of 19 in 1993 left the film industry and her fans devastated. Recently, her cousin, actress Kainaat Arora, shared startling insights about a priest’s prediction regarding Divya’s life and the possibility of her rebirth.

Divya Bharti: A Star of the 90s

During the 1990s, Bollywood saw the rise of many talented actresses, but few could match Divya Bharti’s stardom. She began her career with the Telugu film Bobbili Raja, which was a commercial success and established her in South Indian cinema. Her Bollywood debut came in 1992 with the Hindi action thriller Vishwatma. With each film, her popularity soared, cementing her position as one of the most promising young actresses of the era. Tragically, on April 5, 1993, Divya passed away in an accident, shocking the entire nation. She was only 19.

The Priest’s Prediction

In an emotional conversation with Filmi Gyan, Kainaat Arora revealed that Divya’s mother, Meeta Bharti, had words  that a priest’s prophecy,“Divya’s mother, Meeta Maa, told me that a Pandit ji had predicted a short life in Divya’s horoscope when she was 8 years old. And once she turned 18, her life would always be under risk. To keep her safe, the Pandit advised a pooja. For the longest period of time, the pooja was organised for Divya. However, when she went to Bombay to become an actress, the pooja was stopped. Within a few years, we heard the news of Divya’s death.”

Following this tragic event, Kainaat revealed that Divya’s mother consulted the priest again, who then predicted that Divya would be reborn, offering her family some comfort.

Kainaat’s Emotional Reflection

Kainaat expressed her deep emotional bond with her late cousin, saying, “There is no one like Divya.” She fondly remembered Divya’s vibrant personality and the profound impact she had on those around her. Kainaat also shared that Meeta often spoke about Divya’s enduring legacy and her hope that Divya would return in another form.

While the concept of rebirth remains a matter of personal belief, Kainaat’s revelation highlights the enduring love and hope Divya’s family holds for her. The priest’s prediction, whether interpreted literally or symbolically, reflects the emotional bond and desire to keep Divya’s memory alive, decades after her untimely demise.
