Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter, Suhana Khan, is reportedly facing legal scrutiny over her purchase of agricultural land in Alibaug. Officials are investigating whether the land, originally designated for farming, was acquired in compliance with regulations.
Land Purchase Details
Documents suggest that Suhana bought two plots worth approximately Rs 22 crore in 2023 and 2024. The plots were registered under Deja Vu Farm Private Limited, a company reportedly owned by Shah Rukh Khan’s mother-in-law and sister-in-law.
One of the plots is located in Thal village, Alibaug, and was purchased for Rs 12.91 crore from three sisters — Anjali, Rekha, and Priya — who had inherited the land from their parents. At the time of purchase, Suhana paid a stamp duty of Rs 77.46 lakh. In official documents, she is said to have been listed as a farmer.
Ongoing Investigation
The authorities are probing the purchase, with Resident Deputy Collector Sandesh Shirke requesting an impartial report from the Alibaug Tehsildar. The investigation aims to ensure the transaction complied with regulations governing agricultural land.
This is not the first time Shah Rukh Khan’s properties in Alibaug have faced scrutiny. In 2018, the income-tax department had provisionally attached his bungalow in Alibaug amid suspicions that it was used as a personal farmhouse, despite being purchased for agricultural purposes. The property, also owned by Deja Vu Farms Pvt Ltd, was investigated for benami transactions and alleged violations of norms for agricultural land acquisition.
