Actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood is celebrating his 52nd birthday on Wednesday, and he decided to mark the occasion by announcing another special initiative. The “Ek Vivaah… Aisa Bhi” actor has announced an old-age home that will provide shelter and care to around 500 senior citizens.
A Safe Haven for the Elderly
The old age home is a trying to provide a safe, dignified, and loving atmosphere for senior citizens who have no one to look after them.
In addition to shelter, these old people will also receive medical treatment, as well as balanced diet, and psychological support.
But this is not the first time Sood has linked himself to a philanthropic cause. Earlier, he was in the news for assisting migrant workers amid the COVID-19 pandemic as well as disadvantaged students and patients.
A Firm Belief in Giving Back
The ‘Dabangg’ actor firmly believes in contributing to society.
On Sood’s birthday, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu wished him and appreciated his strong sense of philanthropy.
Applauding his selfless charity work, the CM penned a note on his official X handle saying, “Happy Birthday to the ever-inspiring Sonu Sood! Your selfless philanthropy and support for those in need have touched countless lives across the nation. May your year ahead be filled with happiness, health, and continued strength to keep making a difference. @SonuSood.”
A Birthday Celebration Full of Love
Meanwhile, Sood marked his birthday in the company of his fans and paparazzi.
In the video trending on social media, he was spotted wearing a simple black shirt with dark blue jeans.
Sood was spotted smiling as he sliced the cake. The highlight was, however, fans showering Sood with flower petals in the commemoration.
Sood appeared visibly touched by all the affection he received on his special day.
