Superstar Mohanlal’s much-awaited film Hridayapoorvam has officially received a U certificate from the Censor Board, making it suitable for audiences of all age groups. Sharing the update on Instagram, Mohanlal posted a poster of his character from the movie and proudly described it as a “censor clean” film. He also confirmed that the family entertainer will arrive in theatres on August 28, 2025.
The film is helmed by Sathyan Anthikad, one of Malayalam cinema’s most celebrated directors. Hridayapoorvam marks the reunion of Mohanlal and Anthikad after almost 10 years, a collaboration fans have eagerly been waiting for. The teaser of the film, released recently, has already generated positive buzz and excitement among moviegoers.
Apart from Mohanlal, the film features Malavika Mohanan, Sangeeth Prathap, Sangita, Siddique, Nishan, Baburaj, Lalu Alex, and Janardhanan in important roles. The teaser opens with a lighthearted scene in which a college student tells Mohanlal’s character about his admiration for actor Fahadh Faasil. Mohanlal, however, responds with displeasure, remarking that senior actors deserve equal recognition. The humorous exchange sets the tone for a family-friendly entertainer laced with satire.
