The Indian animated classic Mahavatar Narsimha is having a dream run at the box office following its release on 25 July. The Lord Narsimha mythology-based film in 15 days has generated ₹150 crore globally, said the producers. It even surpassed the record of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Hanuman to emerge as India’s highest-grossing animated movie.
Strong Audience Reception and Continued Momentum
Mahavatar Narsimha opened to standing ovations from the public and the critics. Following a 2-week hit run, it still showed a ₹4.7 crore Hindi collection on Friday, reaching its Hindi net of ₹84.44 crore. The holiday weekend helped the film go on collecting the moolah.

Announcing that the film has touched ₹150 crore worldwide, Hombale Films wrote on social media, “Unleashing a divine blaze. #MahavatarNarsimha races past 150 CRORES+ worldwide gross till Aug 8th, and continues setting screens on fire all over. Producers Eyeing Bigger Milestones
Producers Kleem Productions and hosts Hombale Films now expect the movie to reach ₹150 crore in India and ₹200 crore globally.
Expanding the Mythological Animation Universe
The two production houses have the Gods from Indian mythology as the subject of a slate of animated movies lined up. They have the following in production: Lord Vishnu: Mahavatar Narsimha (2025), Mahavatar Parshuram (2027), Mahavatar Raghunandan (2029), Mahavatar Dhawkadhesh (2031), Mahavatar Gokulananda (2033), Mahavatar Kalki Part 1 (2035), and Mahavatar Kalki Part 2 (2037).
